MY BELIEFS

1:5-تنها تو را می پرستیم و از تو یاری می جوییم / I worship You alone and seek Your help.

1:6- تو ما را به راه راست هدایت بفرما/ You guide us to the right path.

1:7- راه آنان که به انها نعمت دادی و غیر از کسانی که به انها خشم فرمودی و نه گمراهان/ The path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your blessings, and not of those upon whom You have incurred Your wrath, nor of those who are astray.

2:2- این کتاب که هیچ شک در آن نیست، راهنمای پرهیزگاران است./This Book, about which there is no doubt, is a guide for the righteous.

2:3- آن کسانی که به جهان غیب ایمان آرند و نماز به پا دارند و از هر چه روزیشان کردیم به فقیران انفاق کنند./ Those who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them.

2:37- پس آدم از خدای خود کلماتی آموخت و خداوند توبه او را پذیرفت، زیرا خدا بسیار توبه‌پذیر و مهربان است/ So Adam learned words from her God, and God accepted her repentance, for God is very accepting of repentance and merciful.

2:38-گفتیم: همه از بهشت فرود آیید، تا آن گاه که از جانب من راهنمایی برای شما آید، آنان که پیروی او کنند هرگز بیمناک و اندوهگین نخواهند شد./ We said: “Descend from Paradise, all of you, until there comes to you guidance from Me, those who follow it will never fear, nor will they grieve.”

2:40- ای بنی اسرائیل، به یاد آرید نعمتهایی که به شما عطا کردم، و به عهد من وفا کنید تا به عهد شما وفا کنم، و تنها از من بر حذر باشید/ O Children of Israel, remember the favors I bestowed upon you, and fulfill My covenant, that I may fulfill your covenant, and fear Me alone.

2:44- چگونه شما مردم را به نیکوکاری دستور می‌دهید و خود را فراموش می‌کنید و حال آنکه کتاب خدا را می‌خوانید، چرا اندیشه نمی‌کنید؟/ How is it that you enjoin good deeds on people and forget yourselves, and while you read the Book of God, why do you not reflect?

2:45- و یاری جویید از خدا به صبر و نماز، که نماز (با حضور قلب) امری بسیار بزرگ و دشوار است مگر بر خداپرستان فروتن/ And seek help from Allah through patience and prayer. Indeed, prayer is a great matter and difficult except for the humble worshippers.

2:52- آن گاه شما را پس از چنین کار زشت بخشیدیم، شاید سپاسگزار شوید/Then We forgave you after that indecency, perhaps you would be grateful.

2:56- سپس شما را بعد از مرگ برانگیختیم شاید خدا را شکر گزارید./ Then We resurrected you after death, perhaps you would be grateful.

2:57- و ابر را سایبان شما ساختیم و مرغ بریان و ترانگبین را بر شما فرستادیم و از این روزیهای پاک که به شما دادیم تناول کنید، ولی نه به ما بلکه به خود ستم کردند/ And We made the clouds a shade for you, and sent down to you roasted chickens and sweet potatoes, so eat of the good provisions We have provided for you. But they wronged not Us, but themselves.

2:62- هر یک از مسلمانان و یهود و نصاری و صابئان که از روی حقیقت به خدا و روز قیامت ایمان آورد و نیکوکاری پیشه کند، البته آنها از خدا پاداش نیک یابند و هیچ گاه بیمناک و اندوهگین نخواهند بود./Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good deeds, among the Muslims, Jews, Christians, and Sabians, will have a good reward from Allah, and they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.

2:74- پس با این معجزه باز چنان سخت دل شدید، که دلهایتان چون سنگ یا سخت‌تر از آن شد، چه آنکه از پاره‌ای سنگها نهرها بجوشد و برخی دیگر از سنگها بشکافد و آب از آن بیرون آید و پاره‌ای از ترس خدا فرود آیند. و خدا از کردار شما غافل نیست./So, with this miracle, you became so hardened that your hearts became like stones or harder than that, because some rocks gushed forth rivers, and some rocks split open and water came out of them, and some fell down in fear of God. And God is not unaware of what you do.

2:77- آیا نمی‌دانند که خدا بر آنچه پنهان داشته و یا آشکار کنند آگاه است؟/ Do they not know that Allah is aware of what they conceal and what they reveal?

2:81- آری، هر کس اعمالی زشت اندوخت و کردار بدش به او احاطه نمود چنین کسانی اهل دوزخ‌اند و در آن آتش پیوسته معذّب خواهند بود./Yes, whoever accumulates evil deeds and her evil deeds surround it, such people are the people of Hell, and they will be tormented in that Fire forever.

2:82- و کسانی که ایمان آوردند و کارهای شایسته کردند آنان اهل بهشتند و پیوسته در بهشت جاوید متنعم خواهند بود./ And those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the people of Paradise, and they will abide in Paradise forever.
